where can i buy a decent muscle car?
i live in upstate ny and i want to know where i can buy a muscle car or something cool for around $2500. i want something that runs but i can work on and fix up all summer, preferably with little to no rust. i love the late 60's mustangs, and most muscle from around that time period but i would be happy with an 80's camaro or something along those lines (i'm not to picky when it comes to the classics) . i want something dependable that's not going to breakdown and i just cant get myself to buy some crappy little civic. i also like bronco's, older f-150s and chevy's and jeeps too. i recently drove a 1984 merc 240d and i'm ready for something with some power and gettyup. to me nothing sounds better than a classic american muscle car or those older trucks with a v-8 or a nice straight 6 i've got 2 months until i'm done with school so i've got time to research and look around but basically i need a little direction. i know craigslist is good but where else should i look? should i go out of state, maybe down south? any good auctions or anything? go pickin around? i just missed getting a 1967 mustang coupe straight 6 with under 100,000 miles that was running in decent condition for $2500. the guy sold it before i got a chance to take a look, broke my heart. so i don't want to hear its not possible to get a decent muscle car for only $2500. any recommendations or ideas?
