have you ever owned a classic car?
did you buy it new and keep it until it qualified as classic [25 yrs] or did you buy it as a classic? i had a '57 chevy sedan. her name was ernestine after the woman i bought her from. i have to say, roy b, i can just see that car from your description! sounds absolutely gorgeous. my old chevy two-door hard top [turquoise] wasn't fancy. and i didn't have the money to spiff her up the way she deserved, but i purely loved that car. sweet suzi is a great name for a car, slk. makeitright-maybe you'll come across one you can work with. you could name her the second. ford sure had a winner with the mustang. look how many are still on the road not to mention the new model they came out with. goldwing, i had a friend who had a triumph. it was fun to ride in but i'm sure glad i didn't have his mechanics bills. he had a triumph motorcycle that ran much better. david- my father owned two different models of mg. one, an old roadster, shook like a washing machine on spin and the newer sport model was fun but with a growing family, not terribly practical. we ended up with a station wagon
are there any other cars that have doors that open like the element?
i love how the doors open. and the foot room in the back. are there other cars that have these qualities? i've looked at the kia soul, nissan cube, toyota scionxb. and they seem like the backseat is squashed inside, and the doors are just normal.
what was the minimum, or thereabout, monthly wage in u.s. in 1945-46?
and, if possible, how much did cost the average brand new down the range car during these years? thanks.
